initial post ...
This blog is resulting from the fact that I exceeded the word limitations on facebook in the "about me" section. I got all excited about discussing my "conversion" from broad evangelicalism to the Reformed faith. Also, some friends encouraged me (so if this doesn't work out, I have people I can blame!). I have strong convictions and hope I can be forthright and yet not offend (no doubt a naive hope). I must say I am a bit embarrassed, and fear that this will turn out to be a feeble (and failed?) attempt to add to the world of Reformed blogdom. I'm not sure yet whether I'm ready for this, and am experiencing some fear and trepidation, but we shall see ...

David, the blog world belongs to the fearful and trembling! We need to hear from people who have made the transition from evangelicalism to a reformed understanding of the bible. There are many who sit Sunday after Sunday listening to insipid sermons (pep-talks)and know there has to be something more but have no clue where to find it. Here's hoping your blog will be passed around to the rank-and-file Christian whose ribs are showing he's so hungry for truth.
David, We are never ready for things that cause us some fear. If we were, where would the adventures of life come from? So here's to a step of faith and maybe a little bit of fear! And remember- There will be those of us praying with you during every moment of this journey.
